Getting married in Scotland - Victoria & Chris

Christopher and Victoria would like to thank everyone for sharing in their special day together.  They were very grateful to everyone who attended, especially to Mark who got the bus from London! A big thank you has to go to the Registry Staff at Edinburgh City Council just for being so pleasant and relaxed, ensuring the ceremony proceedings ran smoothly. About Them,Their Story

Their paths crossed on several occasions through work before they finally went on a ‘date’…unfortunately Victoria not realising this was a ‘date’ date brought 3 friends along too! Ooops! Thankfully that did not put Christopher off and they eventually went on a proper date!  From then the rest is history!!!

The Proposal was on a beautiful beach in Florida at sunrise.

Maid of Honour – Louise.  Victoria’s best friend for many years and one of the most special people you could ever meet.

Best Man – Luke. Christopher’s best friend for many years and came all the way over from his home in the Middle East to share in their special day.

It was a day to unite the Rose and Thistle, to the Mother and Father of the Brides delight, Victoria come back home to get married in Edinburgh, Margaret and Charlie, were so happy to have their little girl back home with Chris’s family and friends looking like they were enjoying the Scottish hospitality and taking advantage of what Scotland had to offer. I’m sure I seen a wee whisky or two evaporate rather quickly.

Immediately after the group photos it’s was time to take advantage of every second we had for various Bride & Groom shots. Time was tight; just as well I was on very good terms with the Mother of the Bride, Margaret a stickler for punctuality was getting a little anxious at the reception venue. Thinking I had ran off with the Bride & Groom I was sure I was going to be up for a finger wagging session for cutting it fine, thankfully I got a big smile for not being late with the reception being a big success. Phew…, it was just so much fun, Victoria and Chris were in the zone, just loving and lapping up all the attention from bystanders and tourists of all nationalities wishing them well. Shouts and cheers of congratulations as we went about our business only encouraged and filled Vicky and Chris with enthusiasm as they lost all their inhibitions and took pleasure in the photo session.

The Royal Mile offers an wealth of photograph opportunities, it’s just impossible to do them all. Please enjoy some of my favourites from their day.
