There are situations where my experience would not meet expectations. It’s not my intention to take on a request if I feel out of my depth; my prime concern is your photographs. There are briefs that would be an impressive addition to my portfolio, however, when I sense the client would benefit from another photographers experience I feel it’s my obligation to pass it over. It’s always nice to know that you have considered John Gilchrist Photography, feel free to call and discuss your expectations should you wish to talk it over.

Are You a Professional Photographer - FAQ?
Far from it... only semi professional, I can’t blame you for being inquisitive. There are countless photographers out there and a few of them trying to persuade you that they are “number one”. Well, I won't claim that I am number one or throw you a string of glossy options in front of you then wait for you to jump on them. I just love taking photographs, always have always will. I don’t really like to classify myself as a true photographer because real photographers make their living doing, it. I could tell you what you want to hear, but that wouldn't make it true! I don't consider myself a pro, I'm far from it, more “Sunday League”. Being a semi pro sits comfortably with myself, however, I do try to conduct myself in a proficient manner. If you plan to hire a professional photographer be your own judge, yours is the only opinion that really matters.
Should Professional Photographers Be Concerned With John Gilchrist Undercutting Their Products And Services - FAQ?
This isn't the objective! The intention is to compliment and not compete with most services provided by top photographers. Many potential clients would like the funds to use certified services but just can’t meet the expense of doing so. Instead of leaving them in no-mans-land, I like to think I can provide a desirable service for penny-wise clients.
What Experience Has Taught You About Professional Photography: Facilitating Clients Requirements And Technical Ability - FAQ?
OK, cards on the table! I have been seriously involved in photography since 2009. I have limited field experience and don't hold professional qualifications nor undertaken any recognised training package. On the back of all that and to defend myself, the internet is a resourceful channel that I have found invaluable. I have several contacts in the craft that are a source of inspiration and support. Before you short-list a photographer, it is essential you determine what experience level you feel comfortable with. Conditions can vary in terms of available light, which can change from location to location. Decide the importance of the shoot and what environment best matches the experience level required. Therefore, before you consider me as your photographer I recommend that you look at the photographs from the main site galleries, once there you will find numerous photos for your evaluation.
How Can You Offer Lower Prices Than Other Photographers Can - ?
Simple! I put forward a "semi-professional" service. Choosing a Photographer - When to lower your price! Many trained professionals have overheads that reflect their prices. Since I have a "day job”, I don't have the same outlay as professionals. The service focuses towards budget-minded clients that cannot tell a great deal of difference between work of mine and the work of a qualified experienced photographers. If you cannot tell the difference, you don’t have to pay the difference, it’s your call. The last thing you want is to shop by price but if it were within your budget, I would always recommend that you go with the professional. They are the people that do this for a living and without doubt, you will get outstanding results.
