On Friday afternoon I headed along to the heart of the city, the gardens in Princes Street was the venue for an engagement shoot with Emma, Aurelien and (a little princess) Elise, sadly Babouch had to look after the house. It was a lovely autumn day with the gardens covered in colourful leaves. The two parts, East Gardens and West Gardens have a distinctive quality and both have lots of interesting things to see. The gates to the gardens close early in autumn so we had to work quickly before taking a stroll along the city’s main street. With Emm’s eye for design and Aurelien’s background in engineering their chosen location was ideal for the shoot.

Hi John,
Just a wee note to say thanks again for taking the time out to visit the venue with us. I am sorry it was longer than expected. We are very relaxed and confident that the pictures will be more than we expected. Your passion for photography shines through. Emma and Aurelien have chosen a smashing location for their big day; it’s a gem of a setting within the Scottish Borders. I had the opportunity to check out the venue and catch up with their plans over coffee and chat with the hotel management. Its obvious Duncan’s got your best interest at heart, a true gentleman, I hope you enjoyed the complimentary local ale, I’m sure it went down a treat when you got home. In-between my child-minding spell :-) I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shots. Thanks for the comments guys, Elise is a little star, I’m so looking forward to the big day.
